Headstand Sirsasana शीर्षासन

📍 Location: Piedmont Park
⏱️ Playback: 2X

Tips & Cues:
✶ Be patient and tell yourself that you love you.
✶ Basketweave your hands behind your head.
✶ Be sure to tuck one pinky finger behind the other so they are on the same level.
✶ Place your crown on the ground, and your forearms parallel to each other tightly on either side of your skull.
✶ Walk your toes out away from you until they are weightless.
✶ Press down onto the floor with your forearms.
✶ Push your shoulders away from the floor to distribute weight off of your neck.
✶ Pull your abdominal muscles tight back against your spine.
✶ Push your back muscles powerfully up against your spine.
✶ Sandwich your first mouth (navel) between these forces.
✶ Slowly lift your toes off the ground by crunching your core, lifting weight off your cervical spine by focusing force within your forearms and shoulders while growing your toes slowly but surely tall to the sky.
✶ Remember to breathe.

Tiny poem that came to me in the upside down:

When southern boys
are salty with me,
I can always count on
the GA trees.
